A new method for the determination of IR bandshapes in binary systems is proposed. The procedure is based on determination and subsequent substraction of the imaginary part of the complex refractive index spectrum, k(v), of the solution and the solvent. Simultaneously, infrared dispersion data in the dtudied spectral region are obtained. Experimental results, mainly for weakly hydrogen bonded systems in the vs(AH)region, are presented and discussed. Correlation functions are compared with that ones obtained by conventional methods.
