IR spectra of weakly H-bonded complexes of phenol derivatives with dioxane were measured and the bandshape corresponding to the νs(OH) vibration was quantitatively analyzed. A procedure for the determination of modulation parameters was proposed and applied to the studied systems. The nature of the vibrational dephasing and origin of the observed motional narrowing phenomena was discussed.
