The crystals of the title compound are composed of polymeric bands built up from triaqua(oxydiacetato-O,O′,O″)europium(II) units, and water of crystallization. The europium cation is surrounded by six oxydiacetate oxygen atoms and three water molecules. The distances metal-oxygen are generally longer than those observed in Eu(III) carboxylates.
