The reorientational and vibrational correlation functions were determined for the νs(C C) vibration of liquid ethynyltrimethylsilane and ethynyltrimethylsilane - d1 from Raman bandshape studies. The vibrational relaxation is discussed in terms of Kubo's vibrational dephasing theory whereas the reorientation in terms of the J-diffusion model.
