1H NMR study of new heterodinuclear macrocyclic complexes.

New heterodinuclear complexes [M1M2L]+2, where M1 = Ni+2, M2 = Mn+2, Fe+2, Co+2, Cu+2, Zn+2 or M1 = Co+2, M2 = Zn+2, 2H+ and LH2 = 11,23-dimethyl-3,7,15,19-tetra-azatricyclo[19.3.1.119,13]hexacosa-2,7,9,11,13(26),14,19,21(25),22,24-decaene-25,26-diol (Robson ligand) are described. The complexes have been synthesised in a new, very short synthetic route, and characterised by elemental analysis, UV–Vis, IR and EPR spectroscopy. The purity and heterodinuclear nature of the obtained compounds has been confirmed by NMR spectroscopy and electrospray mass spectrometry. The signal assignment of those high-spin, paramagnetic complexes has been based on detailed NMR analysis and comparison with related homodinuclear analogues.
