The proton spin-lattice relaxation time in ferroelectric N(CH3)4H(Cl3CCOO)2 has been studied in the temperature range from 280 to 50 K. The data indicate that the dominant relaxation mechanism for T1 below the phase transition temperature can be attributed to the onset of C3 reorientation of CH3 groups with activation energy 16.6 kJ/mol. An anomaly of T1 at Tc = 212 K was also observed.
