Streszczenie

Isoindole derivatives of biogenic amines, amino acids, and proteins can be obtained by the reaction of primary, amino groups with o-phthaldialdehyde (OPA) and a thin compound in weak alkaline media [1 ]. At room temperature the isoindole derivatives exhibit strong fluorescence with a maximum between 420 and 450 nm,depending on the polarity of the environment 12 1. For these reasons the isoindoles have been used successfully as fluorescence probes in biological systems I3-5 1.
