The techniques for measuring band intensities and optical constants discussed in the three preceding papers are illustrated by measurements on liquid benzene over the range 4200-500 cm−1 and on liquid chloroform over the range 3300-550 cm−1. The values obtained are compared with data in the literature based mainly on attenuated total reflection measurements.
