Streszczenie

Recently we reported the results of spectroscopic investigations of lanthanide anhydrous and hydrated perchlorates in nonaqueous solvents. The main goal was explanation of electron-relaxation processes in the systems studied as well as the mechanism of hypersensitive-transition intensity variations. The intensity variations were discussed within the framework of Mason's polarizability mechanism 13, 4 1.The applicability of the ligand-polarizability mechanism is excellent for 2-halogeno derivatives of ethyl alcohol, but it fails for its 2-fluoro-, bromo-, and iododerivatives. In this paper an effort was made to examine Mason's polarizability mechanism for praseodymium systems.
