A composite lossy material is provided, comprising: a ferrimagnetic material FF or an alkyl or aryl ester of an inorganic acid, or both and a ferromagnetic material, wherein the ferromagnetic material is a ferrite material or a ferromagnetic metallic material,or both, optionally together with an elastomer, plasticiser, organic polymer or mineral foam.
