Streszczenie

In this paper, the initial testing of a novel non-contact optical sensor is presented for vacuum measurement. Under the excitation of 445 nm diode laser, intense green and red emission of Pr3+ ion is observed. A drastic pressure dependence of the absolute luminescence intensity and the luminescence intensity ratio of the 3P03H4 and 3P03F2 transitions are achieved between 1.47 and 997 mbar pressure at room temperature. In the studied pressure range the absolute luminescence intensity depends linearly on pressure. The strong dependence of luminescence on pressure suggests that the title materials are potentially applicable as an optical sensor for vacuum measurement.
