Infrared spectra of polycrystalline (NH3CH3)3Sb2I9 have been investigated in the temperature range 13–300 K. A systematic temperature dependence study of the internal modes of the methylammonium (MA) cations has been performed. The effect of the dynamic state of MA cations on the vibrational spectra has been observed. The remarkable changes in the infrared spectra appeared at the structural phase transition at 147 K due to the ordering of the MA cations. The phase transition manifests itself as the discontinuous “order-disorder” transition.
