Streszczenie

The title compound, (C19H18P)2[ReCl6], has been prepared by a new method and its structure redetermined [Holynska, Korabik & Lis (2006). Acta Cryst. E62, m3178-m3180]. The previously observed orientational disorder of the [ReCl6]2- anion (Re site symmetry ) is reinter­preted as being due to a minor cocrystallized ReV-containing impurity. Revised magnetic, MS and spectroscopic data are also presented and discussed. The crystal structure involves C-HCl hydrogen bonds.
